The World Energy Council welcomes the Brazil G20 presidency’s focus on social inclusivity and justice. Mobilising more people, generations, and diverse communities is crucial if we want to drive « better » energy transitions.
In reviewing the G20 agenda, we have identified five key opportunities to accelerate faster, fairer, and more inclusive energy transitions worldwide. To build a bridge towards Humanising Energy, we call on G20 energy ministers to collaborate more closely with the World Energy Council and its community. Together, we can address the challenges of balancing energy security, affordability, sustainability, resilience, and justice.
