World Federation of Engineering Organizations The World Federation of Engineering Organizations is an international, non-governmental organization representing the engineering profession worldwide. Founded in 1968 by a group of regional and national engineering organizations, under the auspices of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organizations (UNESCO) in Paris, the World Federation of Engineering Organizations (WFEO) brings together national engineering organizations from some 100 nations and represents more than 30 million engineers from around the world. WFEO’s work is mainly performed through its Standing Technical Committees (STCs) and Policy implementation Committees (PICs), hosted by its national members institutions. The Energy Committee is currently hosted by Ingénieurs et Scientifiques de France (IESF, WFEO’s French National Member) with the support of the Conseil Français de l’Énergie (French member of the World Energy Council).
